Talent for Social Integration
- The Ministry of Personnel Management introduced a system to encourage people from low-income backgrounds to join the civil service in 2009 in order to address inequality in employment for low-income groups and support economic independence. Currently, those from low-income backgrounds account for at least 2% of Grade 9 open competitive recruitment and at least 1% of Grade 9 competitive recruitment for experienced professionals (beneficiaries under the “National Basic Living Security Act” or those eligible for support under the “Single-Parent Family Support Act”).
- In addition, civil service recruitment information is provided for diverse members of society, such as multi-cultural families and North Korean defectors.
